Fluidizing Conical Hopper Promotes Flow Of TIO2

12/01/2000

Hapman's new hopper design enhances the flow of difficult materials that exhibit both adhesion and cohesion characteristics - such as Iron Oxide or Titanium Dioxide. A unique, controlled aeration system eliminates rat holing or bridging, and, with a properly sized conveyor, can empty a 2,000 lb. (900 kg) bulk bag of TIO2 in minutes. Agitation options are also being made available to further expedite free movement of materials with more diverse characteristics. This technology may be used with any of Hapman's 3-choices of conveyors (flexible screw, tubular drag or pneumatic) to achieve desired flows of materials during processing. Hapman is a leading manufacturer of bulk material handling systems and provides appropriate conveyor solutions for its customers from its "3 choices" of conveyors. In addition, Hapman manufactures manual sack tip and bulk bag unloading stations with dust collection along with a full line of innovative batch weigh system accessories.
